Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of allocation of tasks in groups of mobile agents. The paper presents task allocation strategies based on the behavior of real ant colonies. Agent based modeling approach is used to simulate the behavior of the ant colonies. The strategies used are evaluated in order to shed lights on the circumstances when a particular strategy works better. Experimental results indicate that the results are consistent with the biological equivalents.
